How We Can Help You Get the Perfect Brows

Your options for creating the appearance of fuller eyebrows are expanding. You can make use of cosmetics, microblading, or give special serums a try. But none of those offers a permanent, natural-looking result.
At NeoGraft Hair Restoration, Dr. Dana Brownell and her staff recognize just how important your brows are when it comes to your appearance. Eyebrows are expressive, so having very sparse or thin brows can change your expressions. If you’re not happy with your look, we offer eyebrow restoration that can give you the perfect brows.
Why your brows matter
Believe it or not, there’s a scientific description of the ideal brow. A poorly shaped brow can give you an appearance of perpetual surprise or make you look angry even when you’re not.
Your brows create the most noticeable line on your face and serve as a reference point for all of your other facial angles and contours. Having thin brows can have a much bigger impact on your expression than you may realize.
How NeoGraft is different
Brow transplantation was first pioneered in 1939, but the procedure we offer is much different from earlier methods. We use an innovative approach called follicular unit extraction (FUE).
With FUE, Dr. Brownell carefully removes individual hair follicles from your scalp — usually just above your ear, and transplants them precisely where they need to be to restore your eyebrows. Because these are your hair follicles, that grow your hair, the result is as natural as possible.
Dr. Brownell has years of experience and training and places each follicle exactly and carefully to help you achieve an ideal brow, according to both the scientific definition of ideal and the cosmetic definition.
What to expect
Prior to your procedure, Dr. Brownell makes sure she understands your goals. You can show her photos of your brows before they began to thin or images of brows you’d like to emulate. This stage gives you the chance to express your definition of the ideal brow.
Once you’ve decided to go ahead with eyebrow restoration, we schedule your appointment. You should expect it to take two to three hours.
You may need to avoid strenuous exercise for a few weeks after the procedure. Recovery is generally quick. Within a day or two, you may notice a small amount of scabbing around your brows. It’s very important to leave it alone.
Once the scabbing heals over, your new eyebrow hairs are very likely to fall out. That’s because the follicles are traumatized when transplanted. However, within a few weeks, your brows grow new hair, and the regular cycle of hair growth and shedding begins again.
Within a few months, you can see the full result of your transplant. You may even need to carefully trim your brows.
If you have specific questions about brow restoration or if you’d like to find out whether you’re a candidate for this life-changing procedure, schedule an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Brownell at our office in Westport, Connecticut. She’s happy to answer your questions.
